Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Line Cook/Prep Cook to join our culinary team. In this role, you will be responsible for preparing high-quality meals, ensuring food safety standards are met, and contributing to a positive kitchen environment. The ideal candidate will have experience in the food industry and a passion for cooking, with the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced setting.

Duties

Prepare and cook menu items according to established recipes and standards. Assist in food preparation tasks, including chopping, slicing, and marinating ingredients. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen and food preparation areas. Follow food safety guidelines and proper food handling procedures at all times. Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure timely meal service. Help manage inventory by monitoring stock levels and reporting shortages. Participate in daily kitchen operations, including cleaning and sanitizing equipment and workspaces. Assist with meal preparation for special events or catering as needed.

Qualifications

Previous experience in a restaurant or food service environment is preferred. Knowledge of food preparation techniques and cooking methods. Familiarity with food safety regulations and best practices in food handling. Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining attention to detail. Strong teamwork skills with the ability to communicate effectively in a kitchen setting. Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings and weekends as required. A passion for cooking and a desire to learn new culinary skills is essential.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $15.00-$16.50 per hour

Expected hours: 20 - 30 per week
