We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Line Cook/Prep Cook to join our dynamic kitchen team. The ideal candidate will be passionate about food and committed to delivering high-quality meals in a fast-paced restaurant environment. This role involves both food preparation and cooking, ensuring that all dishes meet our standards for taste and presentation.
Duties
Prepare ingredients for cooking, including chopping vegetables, marinating meats, and various seafood.
Cook menu items according to recipes and presentation standards.
Maintain cleanliness and organization in the kitchen area, adhering to food safety regulations.
Assist in the development of new menu items and special dishes.
Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure timely meal preparation and service.
Monitor food stock levels and assist with inventory management.
Follow all health and safety guidelines related to food handling and preparation.
Experience
Previous experience in a restaurant or food service environment is required.
Knowledge of food handling, food preparation techniques, and kitchen equipment is essential.
Familiarity with food safety practices within the food industry is a plus.
Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a busy kitchen setting.
Strong teamwork skills and a willingness to help others in the kitchen.
