We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Line Cook/Prep Cook to join our dynamic kitchen team. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in meal preparation and food handling, with a commitment to maintaining high standards of food safety and quality. This role is essential in ensuring that our kitchen operates smoothly and efficiently, contributing to the overall success of our restaurant.
Responsibilities
Prepare ingredients for cooking, including chopping vegetables, marinating proteins, and measuring spices.
Assist in cooking and plating dishes according to restaurant recipes and presentation standards.
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the workspace, adhering to food safety regulations.
Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure timely meal service during busy periods.
Monitor food inventory levels and assist with ordering supplies as needed.
Follow all health and safety guidelines related to food preparation and handling.
Help train new kitchen staff on proper cooking techniques and safety protocols.
Experience
Previous experience in a kitchen or food service environment is preferred but not required; training will be provided.
Familiarity with meal preparation techniques and food handling practices is a plus.
Knowledge of food safety standards within the food industry is beneficial.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
Strong teamwork skills with the ability to communicate effectively in a busy kitchen setting.
