Responsibilities:
- Prepare ingredients for cooking, including chopping vegetables, cutting meat, and gathering spices
- Assist in the cooking process by following recipes and instructions from the chef
- Cook food items according to set standards and ensure proper presentation
- Maintain a clean and organized kitchen area, including washing dishes and sanitizing surfaces
- Follow food safety guidelines to ensure the quality and safety of prepared meals
- Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure smooth operation of the kitchen
Requirements:
- Previous experience in a food service or kitchen environment is preferred
- Knowledge of food preparation techniques and cooking methods
- Familiarity with restaurant operations and procedures
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow recipes accurately
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work well within a team
