Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Line Cook / Oyster Shucker to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in the restaurant and food service industry, with a focus on food handling and meal preparation. Experience with fish and seafood is required.

Duties

Prepare and cook menu items according to established recipes and standards. Ensure all food is prepared in a timely manner to meet service demands. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen and workstations. Follow all food safety guidelines and regulations to ensure safe food handling practices. Assist in inventory management by monitoring stock levels and notifying management of shortages. Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure smooth operations during service hours. Help train new kitchen staff on proper cooking techniques and food preparation methods.

Skills

Proven experience in a restaurant or kitchen environment, preferably as a Line Cook or similar role. Strong knowledge of food handling, meal preparation, and cooking techniques. Familiarity with food safety standards and regulations within the food industry. Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail. Excellent teamwork skills with the ability to communicate effectively with kitchen staff. A passion for cooking and creating delicious meals that exceed guest expectations.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $22.00-$25.00 per hour

Expected hours: 38 - 44 per week
