Responsibilities

Assist in meal preparation by chopping, slicing, and dicing ingredients as directed by the cook or chef. Support food preparation efforts by organizing and maintaining kitchen supplies and inventory. Ensure all food handling practices comply with food safety regulations to maintain a clean and safe kitchen environment. Help with the cleaning and sanitizing of kitchen equipment, utensils, and work areas after use. Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely service during meal periods. Assist in stocking supplies and ingredients as needed throughout the shift. Follow instructions from chefs or cooks to help create menu items efficiently.

Qualifications

Previous experience in a restaurant or food service environment is preferred but not mandatory. Knowledge of basic food safety practices and procedures is essential. Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment while following directions from senior kitchen staff. Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain cleanliness standards in the kitchen. Willingness to learn new skills related to meal preparation and cooking techniques. Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings and weekends as needed.
