Job Duties:
Prepare and cook complete meals or individual dishes and foods
Ensure food meets quality standards as set by manager
Schedule and supervise kitchen helpers
Oversee kitchen operations
Maintain inventory and records of food, supplies, and equipment
Set up and oversee buffets
Clean kitchen and work area, ensure kitchen is kept clean and sanitary
Plan menus and daily specials
Determine size of food portions, estimate food requirements, monitor food presentation and portion control
Monitor stock and inventory and place orders through process determined by manager
Train kitchen helpers in job duties, and sanitation and safety procedures
Assist in creating and updating menu items
Job Details:
Wage: 17.00 - 19.00 per hour
Hours: 30 - 40 hours per week
Vacation pay: 4% bi-weekly

1 year experience cooking in fast-paced environment required
Training or education in cooking an asset
