We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Line Cook to join our culinary team. As a Line Cook, you will play a crucial role in meal preparation and ensuring that our kitchen operates smoothly and efficiently.
Duties
Prepare and cook menu items according to established recipes and standards.
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen workspace, including cooking stations and equipment.
Adhere to food safety and sanitation guidelines to ensure the safety of all food served.
Assist in the preparation of ingredients, including chopping vegetables, marinating meats, and measuring spices.
Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure timely meal service during peak hours.
Monitor food inventory levels and communicate with management regarding supply needs.
Follow proper food handling techniques to minimize waste and ensure quality.
Participate in daily kitchen operations, including cleaning duties at the end of shifts.
Experience
Previous experience in a food service or restaurant environment is preferred.
Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices for food handling.
Familiarity with various cooking techniques, equipment, and kitchen tools.
Strong ability to work under pressure while maintaining attention to detail.
Excellent teamwork skills with the ability to communicate effectively with kitchen staff.
A passion for culinary arts and willingness to learn new skills in meal preparation.
