Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and passionate Line Cook to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in food preparation and cooking, with experience in fine dining or catering environments. As a Line Cook, you will be responsible for preparing high-quality meals, ensuring food safety standards are met, and contributing to an efficient kitchen operation.

Responsibilities

Prepare and cook menu items according to established recipes and standards Assist in menu planning and development to enhance the dining experience Ensure all food is prepared in compliance with food safety regulations Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure timely service during peak hours Handle food items safely and efficiently, adhering to proper food handling protocols Participate in inventory management and assist with ordering supplies as needed Provide support during catering events, ensuring all meals are prepared to specifications

Skills

Proven experience in a dietary department or as a dietary aide is preferred Strong background in menu planning and meal preparation Fine dining experience is a plus, showcasing an understanding of high-quality service standards Proficient in food preparation techniques, including knife skills and cooking methods Familiarity with food service operations within the restaurant industry Knowledge of food safety practices and regulations Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced kitchen environment Excellent teamwork skills, with a focus on collaboration and communication

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $16.00-$22.00 per hour

Expected hours: 30 - 40 per week
