We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Line Cook to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for food and a commitment to delivering high-quality meals in a fast-paced restaurant environment. As a Line Cook, you will play a vital role in the kitchen, ensuring that each dish is prepared to perfection while adhering to food safety standards.
Responsibilities
Prepare and cook menu items according to recipes and restaurant standards.
Assist in the setup and breakdown of the kitchen before and after service.
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen workspace, including proper food handling and storage practices.
Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure timely meal preparation and service.
Monitor inventory levels of food supplies and communicate needs to management.
Follow all health and safety regulations, including food safety protocols, to ensure a safe working environment.
Participate in training new kitchen staff on food preparation techniques and kitchen operations.
Skills
Experience in food service or restaurant environments is required.
Strong knowledge of food preparation techniques, cooking methods, and kitchen equipment.
Familiarity with food handling practices and food safety regulations in the food industry, as well as Food Safe Handling certification.
Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining attention to detail.
Excellent teamwork skills with the ability to communicate effectively with kitchen staff.
A passion for cooking and willingness to learn new skills in meal preparation.
