We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Line Cook to join our kitchen team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for food and a keen eye for detail, ensuring that every dish is prepared to perfection. As a Line Cook, you will play a crucial role in meal preparation and service, contributing to the overall success of our restaurant. Your ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while adhering to food safety standards will be essential.

Responsibilities

Prepare and cook menu items according to recipes and standards. Ensure that all food is prepared in a timely manner and meets quality standards. Assist in meal preparation, including chopping, slicing, and cooking ingredients. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area, including workstations and equipment. Follow food safety guidelines and proper handling procedures to ensure the safety of all food products. Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure smooth operations during service hours. Help with inventory management by monitoring stock levels and notifying management of shortages. Participate in training new kitchen staff as needed.

Skills

Proven experience in food service or as a cook in a restaurant setting. Strong knowledge of food preparation techniques and kitchen equipment. Familiarity with food handling and safety regulations within the food industry. Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining high-quality standards. Excellent communication skills and ability to work as part of a team. Attention to detail and strong organizational skills. Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings and weekends.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $18.00-$22.00 per hour

Expected hours: 15 - 25 per week
