We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Line Cook to join our culinary team. As a Line Cook, you will play a crucial role in the preparation and presentation of dishes, ensuring that every plate meets our high standards of quality and safety.
Duties
Prepare and cook menu items according to recipes and specifications
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area, including workstations and equipment
Assist in meal preparation, including chopping, slicing, and cooking ingredients
Ensure food safety standards are adhered to at all times, including proper food handling techniques
Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely service during peak hours
Monitor inventory levels and assist with ordering supplies as needed
Follow all health and safety regulations to maintain a safe working environment
Skills
Proven experience in food preparation and cooking within a restaurant environment
Strong knowledge of food safety practices and regulations
Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining attention to detail
Excellent teamwork skills with the ability to communicate effectively with kitchen staff
Familiarity with various cooking techniques, ingredients, equipment, and procedures
Previous experience in food service or the food industry is preferred but not required
A passion for culinary arts and a willingness to learn new skills
