We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Line Cook to join our dynamic kitchen team. As a Line Cook, you will play a crucial role in the food preparation process, ensuring that each dish is prepared to perfection and meets our high standards of quality and presentation. This position is ideal for individuals who are passionate about the culinary arts and thrive in a fast-paced restaurant environment.
Duties
Prepare and cook menu items according to established recipes and standards.
Ensure all food is handled safely and meets food safety regulations.
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area, including workstations and equipment.
Assist in meal preparation by chopping vegetables, preparing sauces, and assembling dishes.
Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure timely service during peak hours.
Monitor inventory levels of ingredients and communicate needs to the kitchen manager.
Participate in daily kitchen operations, including cleaning tasks at the end of shifts.
Requirements
Previous experience in a restaurant or food service environment is preferred.
Strong knowledge of food safety practices and proper food handling techniques.
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced kitchen setting.
Excellent communication skills and ability to work as part of a team.
Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings and weekends.
Passion for cooking and willingness to learn new techniques in meal preparation.
Familiarity with kitchen equipment and tools used in food preparation.
