Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Line Cook to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for food and a commitment to providing high-quality meals in a fast-paced restaurant environment. As a Line Cook, you will be responsible for preparing and cooking various dishes while ensuring that all food safety and handling standards are met.

Duties

Prepare and cook menu items according to recipes and restaurant standards. Ensure all food is prepared in a timely manner to meet service demands. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area, including workstations, utensils, and equipment. Follow food safety guidelines to ensure the quality and safety of all food products. Assist in meal preparation and presentation, ensuring that dishes are served at the appropriate temperature. Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure smooth operations during service hours. Help with inventory management, including tracking supplies and notifying management when stock is low. Participate in training new kitchen staff on food preparation techniques and safety practices.

Skills

Strong knowledge of food service operations within a kitchen environment. Familiarity with food safety regulations and proper food handling techniques. Experience in meal preparation, cooking, and presentation within a restaurant setting. Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining attention to detail. Excellent teamwork skills with the ability to communicate effectively with kitchen staff. A proactive approach to problem-solving and helping others in the kitchen as needed. Passion for the culinary arts and eagerness to learn new cooking techniques.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $17.50-$20.00 per hour

Expected hours: 15 - 35 per week
