We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Line Cook to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for food and cooking, with experience in a fast-paced restaurant environment. As a Line Cook, you will play a crucial role in food preparation and ensuring that our dishes meet the highest standards of quality and presentation. Your ability to work efficiently in the kitchen while adhering to food safety regulations is essential for success in this role.
Duties
Prepare and cook menu items according to recipes and standards set by the head chef.
Ensure all food is prepared in compliance with food safety regulations and guidelines.
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen workspace, including cooking stations and equipment.
Assist in meal preparation, including chopping vegetables, marinating meats, and preparing sauces.
Monitor inventory levels of ingredients and communicate needs to the kitchen manager.
Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure timely service during peak hours.
Help train new kitchen staff on proper food handling techniques and cooking procedures.
Participate in daily cleaning tasks to uphold hygiene standards within the kitchen.
Requirements
Previous experience as a cook or in a similar role within the restaurant or food service industry is preferred.
Strong knowledge of food safety practices and proper food handling techniques.
Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
Excellent communication skills and ability to work as part of a team.
Familiarity with various cooking methods, ingredients, equipment, and procedures.
A passion for meal preparation and creating high-quality dishes that delight customers.
Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
