Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Line Cook to join our culinary team at Toast Food Company (an up and coming Breakfast & Lunch Restaurant). The ideal candidate will have a passion for food and cooking, with experience in a fast-paced kitchen environment. As a Line Cook, you will play a vital role in preparing high-quality meals while maintaining the highest standards of food safety and preparation.

Key Responsibilities Food Preparation & Cooking Prepare and cook menu items according to recipes and restaurant standards. Assist with breakfast and lunch line operations, ensuring timely ticket completion. Maintain portion control and consistency in presentation. Safely operate kitchen equipment, including grills, fryers, ovens, and slicers. Kitchen Operations Set up and stock stations with necessary ingredients and supplies. Assist with prep work, such as chopping, slicing, mixing, and assembling. Support smooth kitchen flow during peak service hours. Complete opening and closing duties as assigned. Cleanliness & Safety Follow all food safety, sanitation, and workplace safety procedures. Keep workstations, equipment, and storage areas clean and organized. Properly label, date, and store food products. Assist with dishwashing and general kitchen cleaning when needed. Teamwork & Communication Work closely with fellow kitchen staff and front-of-house team to ensure smooth service. Communicate effectively during service, especially during busy periods. Contribute to a positive, respectful, and supportive work environment. Qualifications Previous kitchen or food preparation experience is preferred but not required. Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-volume environment. Strong attention to detail and commitment to food quality. Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 40 lbs.
