Duties

Prepare and cook menu items according to established recipes and standards Assist in menu planning and ingredient selection to ensure quality and freshness Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area, including proper food handling and storage Ensure all food is prepared in accordance with food safety regulations Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently, including knives and other culinary tools Collaborate with team members to deliver timely service during busy hours Assist with plating, garnishing, and presentation of dishes for optimal visual appeal Support catering events or special functions as needed Follow all health and safety guidelines to maintain a safe working environment

Skills

Proven experience in food preparation, cooking, or culinary roles within restaurant or food service environments Strong knife skills and proficiency in meal preparation techniques Knowledge of food safety standards and proper food handling procedures Experience with menu planning and fine dining presentation is preferred Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced kitchen setting Excellent teamwork and communication skills Familiarity with catering services and serving protocols is a plus Previous dietary department or dietary aide experience is advantageous but not required
