We're seeking a creative and dedicated Line Cook (Cook II) to join our culinary team part-time. This specialized role focuses on the preparation and impeccable presentation of high-quality salads, desserts, and baked goods, ensuring every dish delights our residents while upholding the highest standards of taste, appearance, and food safety. What You'll Do:





As a key member of our culinary team, specializing in cold kitchen and pastry, you will be responsible for:


Preparing fresh condiments, including lettuce, tomatoes, and onions, and assembling a variety of appealing salads. Preparing and plating a wide array of high-quality desserts, including, but not limited to, cakes, pies, tarts, cookies, souffles, and various breads and muffins. Strictly adhering to all established recipes and following production sheets precisely to manage food preparation effectively. Ensuring the proper use of scales and measurements in all recipes, portioning, and food production. Maintaining the highest caliber of food presentation, continuously seeking opportunities to improve the visual appeal of all dishes. Ensuring rigorous cleanliness and hygiene in your work areas, refrigerators, and storerooms, including proper rotation of food products to ensure optimal freshness. Cleaning and sanitizing your work area, equipment, utensils, and dishes according to the established schedule. Collaborating closely and effectively with the Executive Chef, Sous Chef, and co-workers to ensure consistent service and high-quality evening operations.



Who You Are:





You are a detail-oriented culinary professional with a passion for consistency in preparation and an eye for plate presentation. To succeed in this role, you'll bring:


A minimum of 3 years of proven institutional cooking experience, demonstrating expertise in a professional kitchen setting. A culinary degree, some culinary training, or equivalent related experience is highly preferred. Food Handler's Certification, showcasing your understanding of critical food safety practices. The ability to perform physical tasks common in a kitchen environment, including carrying or lifting items up to 30 pounds, moving about the restaurant, and handling food objects, plates, trays, and service ware. Comfort with considerable bending, stooping, and kneeling as required.
