Job Description


We are seeking an experienced and talented Line Cook to join our fine dining restaurant. As a Line Cook, you will be responsible for preparing and cooking exquisite dishes with precision and attention to detail. You will work alongside a team of skilled chefs to ensure that our guests have an exceptional dining experience.

Competitive hourly wage based on experience $23.00 - $28.00 per hour

Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and cook menu items according to the restaurant\'s standards and recipes book.
  • Follow proper plating techniques to present dishes in an appealing and artistic manner.
  • Prepare ingredients to use in cooking (chopping and peeling vegetables, cutting meat etc).
  • Maintain a clean and organized workstation, adhering to food safety and sanitation standards.
  • Monitor food inventory and communicate any shortages or quality issues to the chef.
  • Keep a sanitized and orderly work environment in the kitchen
  • Ensure that all dishes are prepared and served on time, meeting the high-quality standards of the restaurant.
  • Uphold a positive and professional attitude while working in a fast-paced environment.
Requirements:
  • 2+ years previous experience as a Line Cook in a fine dining, steakhouse or upscale restaurant.
  • Strong knowledge of culinary techniques and a passion for creating exceptional dishes.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team and communicate efficiently under pressure.
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills.
  • Attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high culinary standards.
  • Knowledge of food safety and sanitation regulations.
  • Able to work in a standing position for duration of shift
  • Flexible to work various shifts that may include but is not limited to weekends, overnights,evenings and holidays as required.
  • Must be fluent in English or French
  • Must be a Canadian resident or have a valid work visa

Responsabilit\xc3\xa9s :
  • Pr\xc3\xa9parer et cuisiner les plats du menu conform\xc3\xa9ment aux normes du restaurant et au livre de recettes.
  • Suivre les techniques appropri\xc3\xa9es de dressage pour pr\xc3\xa9senter les plats de mani\xc3\xa8re attrayante et artistique.
  • Pr\xc3\xa9parer les ingr\xc3\xa9dients n\xc3\xa9cessaires \xc3\xa0 la cuisson (\xc3\xa9plucher et couper les l\xc3\xa9gumes, d\xc3\xa9couper la viande, etc.).
  • Maintenir un poste de travail propre et organis\xc3\xa9, en respectant les normes de s\xc3\xa9curit\xc3\xa9 alimentaire et d\'hygi\xc3\xa8ne.
  • Surveiller les stocks alimentaires et communiquer au chef toute p\xc3\xa9nurie ou probl\xc3\xa8me de qualit\xc3\xa9.
  • Maintenir un environnement de travail propre et ordonn\xc3\xa9 dans la cuisine.
  • Veiller \xc3\xa0 ce que tous les plats soient pr\xc3\xa9par\xc3\xa9s et servis \xc3\xa0 temps, en respectant les normes de haute qualit\xc3\xa9 du restaurant.
  • Adopter une attitude positive et professionnelle tout en travaillant dans un environnement au rythme soutenu.
Exigences :
  • 2+ ann\xc3\xa9es d\'exp\xc3\xa9rience ant\xc3\xa9rieure en tant que Chef de Partie dans un restaurant gastronomique, une brasserie ou un restaurant haut de gamme.
  • Solides connaissances des techniques culinaires et passion pour la cr\xc3\xa9ation de plats exceptionnels.
  • Capacit\xc3\xa9 \xc3\xa0 travailler efficacement en \xc3\xa9quipe et \xc3\xa0 communiquer efficacement sous pression.
  • Excellentes comp\xc3\xa9tences en gestion du temps et en organisation.
  • Souci du d\xc3\xa9tail et engagement \xc3\xa0 maintenir des normes culinaires \xc3\xa9lev\xc3\xa9es.
  • Connaissance des r\xc3\xa9glementations en mati\xc3\xa8re de s\xc3\xa9curit\xc3\xa9 alimentaire et d\'hygi\xc3\xa8ne.
  • Capacit\xc3\xa9 \xc3\xa0 travailler debout pendant toute la dur\xc3\xa9e du service.
  • Disponibilit\xc3\xa9 flexible pour travailler diff\xc3\xa9rents horaires, y compris les week-ends, les nuits, les soir\xc3\xa9es et les jours f\xc3\xa9ri\xc3\xa9s, au besoin.
  • Ma\xc3\xaetrise de l\'anglais ou du fran\xc3\xa7ais.
