Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Line Cook to join our Indian Restaurant - My Roti Place. The ideal candidate will have a passion for the food industry and a strong commitment to delivering high-quality meals in a fast-paced restaurant environment. As a Line Cook, you will play a vital role in meal preparation, ensuring that each dish meets our standards for taste and presentation while adhering to food safety regulations.

Responsibilities

Prepare and cook menu items according to recipes and restaurant standards. Assist in meal preparation by chopping, slicing, and preparing ingredients. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area, including workstations and equipment. Follow food safety guidelines to ensure the safe handling of all food products. Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely service during peak hours. Monitor inventory levels of ingredients and communicate needs to management. Help train new kitchen staff on proper cooking techniques and food handling practices. Participate in daily kitchen operations, including cleaning duties at the end of shifts.

Qualifications

Previous experience in the food service industry is preferred, particularly in a restaurant setting. Knowledge of meal preparation techniques and food safety standards is essential. Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining attention to detail. Strong teamwork skills with the ability to communicate effectively with kitchen staff. Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings and weekends as needed. A passion for cooking and creating delicious meals that delight customers.

Pay: $17.55-$18.37 per hour
