Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Line Cook to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for food and a strong understanding of kitchen operations. As a Line Cook, you will play a crucial role in preparing high-quality meals, ensuring food safety standards, and maintaining a clean and organized kitchen environment. This position requires both creativity and efficiency in meal preparation while working collaboratively with other kitchen staff.

Duties

Prepare and cook menu items according to recipes and presentation standards. Ensure all food is prepared in accordance with food safety regulations and guidelines. Assist in the setup and breakdown of the kitchen before and after service. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen, including all cooking stations. Monitor inventory levels of ingredients and supplies, reporting any shortages to management. Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure timely service during peak hours. Follow proper food handling procedures to minimize waste and ensure quality control. Participate in training new kitchen staff on cooking techniques and safety practices.

Requirements

Proven experience as a Line Cook or in a similar role within the food industry. Strong knowledge of food preparation techniques, cooking methods, and food safety practices. Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail. Familiarity with various cooking equipment and tools used in the kitchen. Excellent communication skills and ability to work as part of a team. Previous restaurant experience is preferred but not mandatory; willingness to learn is essential.
