We are seeking a skilled and passionate Line Cook at Turtle Jacks mapleview Mall to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in food preparation and cooking, with experience in fine dining or catering environments. Duties

Prepare and cook menu items according to established recipes and standards. Collaborate with the kitchen team to ensure timely and efficient meal service. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen workspace, adhering to food safety regulations. Assist in menu planning and development, bringing innovative ideas for seasonal dishes. Handle food items safely, ensuring proper storage and labeling practices are followed. Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently, demonstrating strong knife skills. Participate in catering events as needed, providing excellent food service to guests. Support the dietary department by preparing meals that meet specific dietary needs.

Qualifications

Proven experience in a restaurant or culinary setting, with a focus on fine dining preferred. Strong knowledge of food preparation techniques and cooking methods. Familiarity with menu planning and catering services is a plus. Excellent knife skills and ability to work efficiently under pressure. Understanding of food safety practices and regulations within the food industry. Previous experience as a dietary aide or in a dietary department is advantageous. Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment while maintaining individual accountability. A passion for cooking and creating memorable dining experiences for guests.
