The Opportunity
We are currently seeking a skilled Line Cook to join our kitchen team at Ranchers Pizzeria & Bar. In this role, you will be responsible for preparing high-quality meals in a fast-paced environment, ensuring that our guests enjoy the best dining experience possible.
What you'll do
Prepare and cook menu items according to established recipes and high-quality standards.
Ensure food is prepared in a timely manner while maintaining quality, presentation, and consistency.
Maintain clean, organized, and fully stocked prep stations and kitchen areas throughout the shift.
Follow food safety and sanitation guidelines to ensure a safe and efficient kitchen environment.
Assist with inventory management, stock rotation, and restocking supplies as needed.
Collaborate with the Head Chef and kitchen team to ensure smooth operations during busy periods.
Help with dishwashing and other cleaning tasks as needed, contributing to team flexibility.
Perform opening and closing duties (depending on shift), ensuring everything is ready for service.
What We're Looking For:
Food Safe Level One certification (or willingness to obtain it immediately upon hiring).
Proven experience as a Line Cook or in a similar kitchen role, preferably in a fast-paced restaurant environment.
Strong knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards and the ability to follow regulations.
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment and follow instructions.
Excellent communication skills and a collaborative team mindset.
Physical ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs.
Strong work ethic, reliability, and a positive attitude.
Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and varied shifts.
WHMIS certification is an asset, but not required.
