Summary

:





Responsible for the day-to-day operations of the LINC program and activities in a designated service area and is responsible for the achievement, goals and objectives for LINC program they oversee.

How You'll Make a Difference




Coordinate program/service delivery to ensure optimal outcomes in accordance with contractual requirements. Monitor and review service delivery. Solicits client/participant and community feedback on quality of services provided. Make recommendations to the Senior Manager/Director Language/LINC Services for revision and/or restructuring of program delivery and services as required to ensure optimal client outcomes. With approval from the Senior Manager/Director Language/LINC Services implements remedial actions to improve client outcomes. As an identified knowledge expert is responsible for keeping current on trends and developments and disseminating that information to others. Recruit, orient, train, supervise, and evaluate staff in designated area. Handles day to-day human resources with PCI, payroll and requests for leaves, seeking input from Senior Manager/Director Language/LINC Services, Payroll, and/or PCI on more complex issues. Consult with Director Language/LINC Services and/or PCI on labour relations matters. Provide input into program budget(s). Ensures service and program expenditures and operations are within approved budget parameters. Notifies the Director Language/LINC Services in a timely manner of any emerging issues or variances. Facilitate service delivery area logistics regarding office supplies. Liaise with the landlord as required and connects with ISSofBC's Senior Property Manager to follow-up on site issues as needed. Ensure premises are well maintained, that annual fire drills are conducted and that WorkSafeBC and ISSofBC safety regulations are adhered to. Market ISSofBC programs and services by performing such activities as representing ISSofBC at meetings, inter-agency committees and community forums. Performs other related duties as assigned.



What You Bring

:



Bachelor's degree in social services, Business, Education or related discipline supplemented by a minimum of three (3) years recent experience in a supervisory/managerial capacity, OR an equivalent combination of education, training and experience. Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively in both written and oral English. Demonstrated cultural competency and commitment to working effectively with diverse populations. Proven organizational and administrative skills, experience developing and operationalizing programs or projects. Knowledge of and experience in developing and managing funded programs. Demonstrated management skills in program/service delivery, promotion and marketing. Demonstrated leadership, teamwork and supervisory skills. Proven ability to lead a diverse multi-disciplinary team of employees in multiple locations. Possession of and the ability to maintain a clear provincial Criminal Record Check.

Starting Salary Range:

$34.94 - $38.45
