Salary Range: $33.63 to $38.63 per hour (Targeted Hiring Range: $33.63-$35.69 per hour). Placement within salary range is based on skills, experience and education.
The Opportunity
The LINC Coordinator (Coquitlam) contributes to the successful delivery of LINC (Language Instruction for Newcomers to Canada) Stage 1 (levels 1-4) English training at the Douglas College Coquitlam campus.
Working under the direction of the CCSP, the LINC Coordinator collaborates with staff to ensure the Coquitlam LINC program meets contract outcomes.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Support daily program operations including class scheduling, student attendance;
Support the team to ensure program delivery is consistent, high-quality, and achieves contractual outcomes;
Maintain clear communication between instructional and administrative staff;
Create and oversee curriculum to ensure alignment with IRCC requirements and client needs;
Ensure instructional resources are up to date and distributed to new and on-call instructors;
Collect and report on program statistics and provide reports to CCSP;
Review special activity or field trip requests and forward them to CCSP for approval;
Address student concerns or issues and refer to appropriate supports in a timely manner;
Liaises with community partners to promote the program, recruit students as needed;
Assist support staff with iCARE requirements;
Participate in Training Group's Quality Management System (ISO9001:2015);
Provide support to students and instructors as needed. This will include in person support for some evening classes.
Collaborate with the Surrey LINC Coordinator and provide support as needed;
Assist with other duties as assigned;

WHAT IT TAKES
Degree, certificate or diploma in Educational Administration, TESL or Program Management is a desirable asset;
Teaching English as a Second Language (TESL) qualifications which are recognized on the TESL Canada website (required);
Completion of the Canadian Language Benchmarks Bootcamp training or Canadian Language Benchmark's PBLA Lead Teacher Training (asset);
A minimum of 1-year supervisory or coordination experience in a program setting an (asset);
A good working knowledge of immigrant serving programs including language programming for adults;
Ability to effectively develop and maintain a supportive work environment;
Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to respond to issues in a timely and effective manner;
Experience in developing LINC curriculum;
Highly organized, detail-oriented, flexible;
Be available to work two evenings per week;
Must be able to provide a strong, supportive leadership role to staff with a sensitivity and understanding of immigrant needs;
Satisfactory completion of a criminal record check;
Travel within the Lower Mainland is required: access to a vehicle and valid BC Driver's license or reliable alternative transportation.
Additional Information
This part-time contract position (20 hours/week) is located at Coquitlam campus (1250 Pinetree Way) and requires some evening availability. This is a temporary position until December 19, 2025.
