Telehandler Operators assist in moving and lifting pipe spools, trailers, and other miscellaneous material around the project site. In addition, the Telehandler Operator will be required to perform various labour duties on the ground as needed.

Nearest City: Prince George, B.C (Camp Project)
Shift: 14 Days on/7 Days off
Travel pay: $400/shift
Camp retention: $25/day
CORE ACCOUNTABILITIES
Assist in aligning pipes and performing related activities during oil and gas pipeline construction
Operate a telehandler to move and lift pipe spools, load trailers, and transport other miscellaneous material throughout the site
Assist other tradespeople with the completion of their duties when required
Conduct pre-operational checks on equipment and clean, lubricate and refill equipment
Identify and report hazards or unsafe work practices
Participate in pre-job toolbox meetings to identify potential hazards and measures to eliminate or minimize them
Ensure the appropriate use of Personal Protective Equipment while performing tasks
QUALIFICATIONS
Education
Must have a telehandler operator ticket
SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE, & ABILITIES
Must be able to pass pre-employment drug & alcohol testing
Able to lift 50 pounds
Comfortable working outdoors
Safety Tickets Required
CSTS 2020 or Common Safety Orientation (CSO).
Bear or Wildlife Awareness course
Standard First Aid CPR-C & AED (St. John Ambulance or Canadian Red Cross) or WorkSafe BC Occupational First Aid Level 1 (OFA 1) Training Certificate
WHIMIS 2015 (Strike can provide when onboarding)
Transportation of Dangerous Goods - TDG (Strike can provide when onboarding)
