Tasks

Sweep, mop, wash and polish floors Dust furniture Vacuum carpeting, area rugs, draperies and upholstered furniture Clean and disinfect elevators Handle and report lost and found items Provide basic information on facilities Pick up debris and empty trash containers Wash windows, walls and ceilings Wash windows, interior walls and ceilings Move heavy furniture, equipment and supplies Work with minimal supervision Contact contractors for repairs and maintenance of the establishment Clean and disinfect bathrooms and fixtures Water and tend to plants, lawns and/or gardens Sweep, mop, scrub and wax hallways, floors and stairs Operate industrial vacuum cleaners to remove scraps, dirt, heavy debris and other refuse Empty trash cans and other waste containers Make adjustments and minor repairs to heating, cooling, ventilation, plumbing and electrical systems, and contact tradespersons for major repairs Perform other routine maintenance jobs such as painting and drywall repair
