Company DescriptionOntario Line South ProjectFerrovial Construction Canada Inc. and VINCI Construction Grands Projects are to design, build
and finance the Ontario Line Southern Civil, Stations and Tunnel (South Civil) package.Working together as Ontario Transit Group we are currently mobilizing our design and construction crews, with major works to commence in 2023. The South Civil contract is anticipated to be completed in 2030.The project will strengthen Ontarioxe2x80x99s economy by supporting an estimated 1,500 jobs at the peak of construction.What is the project?

• A six-kilometer tunnel and associated tunnelling works from Exhibition to Don Yard portal (west of the Don River)
• Stations:

• One above-ground station to be integrated with the existing GO Transit Exhibition Station
• Two underground stations to be integrated with the existing TTC Osgoode and Queen subway stations
• Four new underground stations (King/Bathurst, Queen/Spadina, Moss Park, Corktown)

Lifting Manager OR Crane and Rigging ManagerIn charge of all logistic (transportation of equipment & material) and lifting activities on site (tower cranes, mobile cranes, boom trucks, forklifts, gantry cranes etc..)Occupational Health & Safety:Ensures all equipment is fit to operate at any time, and all safety devices are always in good condition, calibrated and certification is up to date.

• Ensure high standard of safety at any time.
• Responsible to organize logistic and lifting department to support production teams for all sites.

• Ensure all equipment and lifting devices / apparatus is always in compliance with Canadian Standards in Ontario.

Operations:

• Prepare works, schedule tasks, and dispatch teams according to site planning and priorities.
• Define, set, and implement procedures to ensure good comprehension of works by the lifting and logistic teams.
• Organize & coordinate all lifting activities on all sites and the daily operation of lifting teams.
• Ensure all documentation is available before lifting activities (permits, certifications, etc.).
• Set and implement pre-starts talks, equipment check list for each type of equipment.
• Ensure all lifting devices are always in good condition.
• Monitor closely erection of big equipment on site, Tower Cranes, Crawler cranes, etc.
• Prepare all lifting plans.
• Set and implement the log of all Ontario Transit Group lifting devices.
• Ensure the smooth operation of lifting and logistic team, which means proper planification of operators leave, shifts, back-up in case of sickness, etc.
• Coordinate activities with site Engineers.
• Doing daily rounds on site.
• Follow-up PR with procurement to get the material on time (3 weeks min to consider)
• Purchase / rent equipment and material for site teams with the approval of Engineer / Manager
• Follow-up spare parts and consumables to ensure smooth operation.
• Tasks and scope may vary during site duration.

Reporting:

• Ensure daily pre-start is performed on site and recorded in the server.
• Get daily reports from site team, staff and workers presence and hours done and tasks performed each day.
• Get the hourly meters / km of all equipment on site each day (Mobile Cranes, heavy equipment, etc), send info to Plant Engineer.
• Follow site budget, and propose improvements.

Qualifications

• Engineering Degree
• 10+ years experience in Lifting Department with Construction Company
• Excellent knowledge of Lifting standards
• Appointed person Certificate (Still Valid)
• Proficiency in Plant & Logistics
• Engineering and supervision skills
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Proficiency in MS Office
