JOB SUMMARY

As a Summer Lift Operator, you are responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient operation of the Peak Chairlift; including start up and shut down procedures, greeting guests and providing physical assistance when required. With direct supervision from Lift Operations Supervisor and Duty Manager, the Summer Lift Operator is expected to deliver a safe and exceptional experience for all mountain guests.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

Greeting guests in a friendly and welcoming manner Ensuring safe and efficient operational procedures of lifts in accordance with Z98 Code (Aerial Lift Code Book) and Lift Operator Manual, including start up and shut down procedures Ensuring the highest level of safety with respect to the loading and unloading areas, ensuring they are uncluttered and litter-free Providing physical assistance to guests when required Establishing and maintaining all operational aspects of the assigned lift station; including line control, tools and signs Maintaining high housekeeping standards of load/unload areas and lift huts Maintaining a high quality, friendly and cooperative relationship with all mountain staff Other duties as required

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

This position reports directly to the Mountain Operations Duty Manager and Lift Operations Supervisor, with no direct supervisory responsibilities.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS AND ABILITIES

Possess excellent interpersonal skills Ability to provide excellent guest service Ability to lift up to 40 lbs Ability to work flexible schedule and in all weather conditions On-the-job training provided

WORKING CONDITIONS

Hours of Operation are weather dependant. Summer Lift Operators perform most of their duties outdoors and may work in all different kinds of weather conditions. Hours of operation are weather dependent. Due to the nature of the business, this position requires flexibility in terms of your work schedule. A variety of work schedules may include rotation of shifts, day/evening shifts, weekends and statutory holidays. Shifts require standing for long periods of time and physical assistance of guests loading and unloading the chairlift.

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS

$19.12/hour to $22.37/hr
