Our guests are safe and happy on the mountain as you carefully manage lift lines and ticket validation. You prioritize safety and teamwork, while maximizing guest and employee experience. You take pride in providing our guests the best vacation and recreation experience possible.
You will:
Train, coach and supervise lift operators, ticket scanners and tubing staff.
Working in conjunction with Snow Safety and Dispatch to share information required for the overall operations of the ski hill.
Able to handle challenging situations with our guests and or staff professionally and tactfully.
Representing and supporting Nakiska's customer service program; Service with No Boundaries
Thorough knowledge of all aspects of the Lift Operations and all emergency procedures
Know the Lift Evacuation Procedures
Daily ramp work, setting and take down of mazes, cleaning of chairs and lift huts
Friendly and cheerful interaction with guests
Working in partnership with the maintenance department to ensure the mechanical soundness of the lifts.
Comply with all safety regulations of assigned tasks and ensure a clean and safe working environment with active participation in the health and safety program.
Assist with season pass and ticket validation and line management, and direct guests appropriately
Assist guests getting on lifts through friendly guidance and instruction.
Perform inspection and documentation of pre-operational and operational checks.
Payroll, help track employee work hours and assist looking over timesheets
Demonstrate a commitment to exceeding guests' expectations daily through work.
Direct traffic and aid guests (special events, conditions, and building locations).
Ensure signs, ropes, gates, and pylons are in place and maintained for guest and staff safety.
Safely understand and execute all emergency procedures, including lift evacuation procedure.
Work extended, flexible shifts, including weekends, in extreme weather conditions on resort.
You:
Have 3 years of previous experience in a Supervisory role, have previously worked as a lift operator.
Understand all aspects of the Lift Operators Manual and all emergency procedures.
Must be able to lift, push, pull and move equipment etc. more than twenty-five pounds.
Able to communicate and have strong attention to detail.
Follow all of Nakiska's policies and procedures.
Are highly flexible, with solid interpersonal skills that allow one to work effectively in a diverse working environment.
Possess moderate to advanced skiing/riding ability - preferred.
Must be able to work flexible shifts, weekends, and holidays with standing cold temperatures.
