Job Summary:

Service is the foundation of everything we stand for at Vail Resorts and our Lift Operations are no exception to this experience of a lifetime. Responsible for the safe operation of resort lifts, Lift Operations Assistant Managers are courteous and knowledgeable leaders with a passion for safety and guest experience.

Job Specifications:
  • Starting Wage: $55,000
  • Shift & Schedule Availability: Full Time and Part Time Available
  • Skill Level: High
  • Location: Whistler Blackcomb
Job Responsibilities:

Supervise daily operations of resort lifts such as scheduling, lift operator assignments, opening and closing procedures, and documentation

Monitor and ensure safety of lift operations through daily safety checks, reporting and documentation; assisting with emergency situations and evacuations as necessary

Assist with hiring, support, and training of operators in daily operations

Monitor and document lift operator performance and behavior to provide meaningful feedback and direction, providing recognition or correction action if necessary

Maintain up to date knowledge of and enforce all applicable laws, regulations, policies, and procedures to ensure the safety of all guests

Inspect and maintain all equipment, tools, and facilities including ramps, mazes, tools, and signs.

Receive and assess guest questions, comments and complaints providing timely resolutions

Other duties as assigned

Job Requirements:

High School Diploma or GED Equivalent required; Bachelors Degree in related field preferred

Valid driver's license required

3-5 years supervisory experience in a related field preferred

Strong computer skills including Microsoft applications

Flexibility to work both inside and outside with exposure to the elements

Must be able to communicate fluently in English
