Role Summary
The Email Content Strategist is responsible for
shaping ALL creative and strategic direction
of client email and SMS. This role combines AI-assisted copy refinement, content calendar planning, and retention strategy to deliver high-performing campaigns that a
lign with each brand's voice and goals.
You'll be working closely with up to 20 high growth brands simultaneously.

You'll work closely with the Lifecycle Marketing Manager, who leads the client relationship, sets the overall retention strategy, and manages the creative team.
Your role as the
Lifecycle Marketing Strategist & Copywrite
r is to:
Lead the planning and creative direction of client email/SMS content.
Lead MAJOR campaigns, launches, based on historic data.
Maintain brand voice and strategic alignment across campaigns and flows.
Review and refine AI-generated content to maximize engagement and performance.
You
own
the creative strategy, content quality, and the results that come with it.
Key Responsibilities (Deep dive into the role - read carefully)
Copy & Content Refinement
Edit AI-assisted copy (generated via our internal tool) to ensure every campaign is polished, on-brand, and performance-ready.
Optimize AI prompts to improve first-draft quality and reduce revision time.
Calendar & Project Management
Own
calendar and project management
across up to 20 ecommerce accounts (ranging $5M-$150M GMV).
Join client calls and manage Slack updates to align campaign priorities.
Build and maintain
30-day email + SMS content calendars
tied to launches, promotions, and flows.
Direct the creative team (copy + design) to deliver campaigns and flows
on-brand, on-time, and up to Arcady's standards
.
Review all creative assets for
clarity, consistency, and strategic alignment
.
Develop and apply
data-backed lifecycle strategies
tailored to each client's growth goals.
Retention Strategy & Optimization
Own
segmentation, flow logic, and campaign triggers
inside
Klaviyo
and related CRM tools.
Spot
performance gaps, trends, and missed opportunities
across accounts.
Proactively design and run
tests to improve engagement, conversion, and retention
.
Translate data into
actionable recommendations
that directly impact revenue.

REQUIRED IF APPLYING:
5+ years of experience in email marketing, content strategy, or copywriting -- ideally in an agency or with DTC/eCommerce brands.
Deep understanding of lifecycle and retention marketing (email, SMS, subscriptions, loyalty).
Exceptional writing and editing skills -- able to switch between brand voices and turn AI-assisted drafts into polished, conversion-ready content.
Strong CRM knowledge; Klaviyo experience is a major plus.
Proven ability to own campaign calendars, manage creative workflows, and keep cross-functional teams moving on time.
Detail-obsessed when reviewing copy, design, and campaign assets -- nothing slips past you.
