Job Description

Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement therapeutic recreation programs for individuals with various physical, emotional, and cognitive abilities
- Conduct assessments and collect data to identify individual needs and preferences
- Create individualized treatment plans and goals
- Lead group therapy sessions and facilitate therapeutic activities
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to coordinate care and support for clients
- Monitor and evaluate client progress and adjust treatment plans as needed

Experience:
- Certification as a Certified Therapeutic Recreation Specialist (CTRS) preferred
- Experience working with individuals with dementia or other cognitive impairments
- Knowledge of therapeutic recreation principles, techniques, and interventions
- Familiarity with case management practices and documentation requirements

Skills:
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with clients, families, and healthcare professionals
- Ability to assess client needs and develop appropriate treatment plans
- Proficiency in data collection, analysis, and reporting
- Knowledge of dementia care techniques and strategies
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
