We are a small brokerage located in Courtenay, BC specializing in strata management services. We are committed to providing exceptional services to our clients located all over Vancouver Island, with the majority of our properties being in Courtenay and Campbell River.

Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Strata Property Manager responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operation, maintenance and administration of the strata corporations. As a small brokerage, this position will include overseeing a limited portfolio (10-15 buildings, 300-500 units). This offers a unique opportuntiy for the right individual to work part time, flexible hours while earning a competitive salary. This position is predominantly remote, however, General Meetings are held in person and the successful candidate will be expected to travel to the Courtenay/Campbell River area to attend these meetings.

Requirements

Valid BC Strata Management License Minimum of 1 year experience as a licensed Strata Manager A clear understanding of the Strata Property Act and Regulations and ability to review and understand bylaws Ability to effectively communicate with strata councils and provide timely advice and guidance in keeping with the governing legislature Knowledge of financial statements and budgeting Experience in renewing strata insurance and managing claims Create Council Meeting agendas, chair meetings and prepare meeting minutes Prepare the annual budget, General Meeting notice package and chair the General Meeting with the inclusion of minute production Knowledge of building mechanical systems and ability to develop and manage contractor relationships in the course of arranging for building maintenance, procurement of quotes for capital projects etc. Availability to attend evening meetings - meetings will commence no later than 5:15 pm for Council Meetings, and 6:00 pm for General Meetings.
