Job Description
Position Overview Experienced Licensed Practical Nurses are needed for travel assignments in British Columbia, providing health services at the Nanaimo Regional General Hospital in various departments including Emergency Department, Med/Surg unit or Perinatal unit. These are 4-8 weeks assignments but can extend longer if you prefer longer assignments. Travel and accommodations are provided. Responsibilities
- Provide nursing to clients of all ages
- Assess client needs and prioritizes care requirements
- Administer care to clients as needed
- Consult and collaborate with other health care team members
- Maintain and advance your clinical competence
- Graduated from a Registered Nursing Program
- Be in good standing and Licensed as a Licensed Practical Nurse in the province of work
- Valid BLS
- Minimum of 1 year of work experience providing nursing services
- Previous experience in 1 of these departments required
- Overtime pay
- First Aid Certification (preferred)
- LPN/RPN (preferred)
- Nursing (preferred)
- CPR Certification (preferred)
