Job Summary

We are looking for a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to administer routine and travel-related vaccines to children and adults. This position also involves health screening and client education related to occupational, school, and personal health needs.

Responsibilities

Assess clients for vaccine needs based on travel or health requirements Screen for contraindications and obtain informed consent Administer vaccines according to current guidelines and protocols Monitor clients for reactions (fainting, anaphylaxis, etc.) and provide aftercare advice Maintain accurate client documentation and records Follow vaccine storage (cold chain) and safety procedures Collaborate with clinic staff and support evolving client needs Provide education about public health resources and infection prevention

Qualifications

Graduate of an approved School of Nursing Current registration with the BC College of Nurses and Midwives (BCCNM) Previous experience in immunization or community health an asset Must have or be willing to complete the BC Immunization Competency Course (via Learning Hub) TB Skin Test Certification (TBST) is an asset--training available for the right candidate

Clinic hours are:

Flexibility in scheduling based on clinic needs and availability of nurse.
