If you enjoy a role in providing services to clients in a community based setting then this position will be of interest to you. The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) in Home Care works as a member of an inter professional health care team utilizing the nursing process to provide direct nursing care to individuals across the life span. The LPN is responsible for their nursing practice as defined by the College of Licensed Practical Nurses of Alberta (CLPNA). In collaboration with the Registered Nurse Case Home Care Manager, the LPN is responsible to assess, plan, implement and evaluate the needs of Home Care clients and their caregivers/families. There is also an expectation to be a mobile worker. This role requires travel within the Chestermere and sometimes the Strathmore area including caring for clients in their homes or in the community. Possession of a valid drivers' license and access to a motor vehicle in good repair for work related purposes is a requirement of this position. You will be responsible to carry and move equipment, use and operate a laptop computer and mobile phone, and for manual handling (lifting, lowering, carrying, pushing and pulling) as a regular part of the job. Learning resources and training are provided to safely perform work.
