Your Opportunity:
The Stollery Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) located at the Sturgeon Community Hospital (SCH) is a 8 bed level 2 NICU that opened in October 2019. The NICU supports the Labor and Delivery (Unit 25) at the SCH as well as accepts babies from the other NICUs in the Edmonton Zone. The program utilizes a Family Centered Care philosophy within an interdisciplinary team model. The LPN demonstrates competency in delivering safe, effective and efficient care for the level 2 NICU patients. The successful LPN candidate assesses, plans, implements and evaluates care for patients in collaboration with the interdisciplinary healthcare team members following hospital/Provincial policies and nursing care standards. The LPN is able to function at full scope of practice as defined by the College of Licensed Practical Nurses of Alberta.
