Alberta Health Services (AHS) is looking for Licensed Practical Nurses to join our team! As a LPN, you will work within a multidisciplinary team and play a key role in the support of an integrated holistic approach to the patient\'s health care, health promotion and health maintenance. Working in a rural community will grow your nursing skills and challenge your ability to balance varying levels of patient acuity and priorities. You will be responsible for the assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of safe quality care following the policies and guidelines of AHS. As part of a multidisciplinary team of dedicated health care professionals, you will be expected to utilize your critical thinking and problem-solving skills to provide direct patient and family centered care to patients across the life span. Description:

As a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN), you are part of an interprofessional health care team utilizing nursing processes, critical thinking, problem solving and decision making skills. You will be guided by your education, experience, demonstrated skill level and AHS policies and procedures. You will play a key role in providing safe, quality patient and family centered care while reflecting the shared vision and values of AHS. PLEASE NOTE: In accordance with Article 14.01 in the AHS/AUPE Auxiliary Nursing Care Collective Agreement, Licensed Practical Nurses shall be paid $27.04/hour - $35.42/hour ($27.58/hour \xc2\xbf $36.13/hour effective April 1, 2023).

Required Qualifications:

Completion of an accredited Licensed Practical Nurse education program. Active or eligible for registration and practice permit with the College of Licensed Practical Nurses of Alberta (CLPNA). Current Basic Cardiac Life Support - Health Care Provider (BCLS-HCP). Additional Required Qualifications:

Ability to function capably in a busy acute care and ER. Ability to manage admissions/discharges and prioritize care needs for an Acute Medical population. Must be able to work collaboratively as a member of a multidisciplinary team. Excellent communication and organizational skills. The successful applicant will be receptive to and participate in unit and site change initiatives. Preferred Qualifications:

2 years recent acute care and ER experience preferred. CTAS, Lead II, CAM-A, CAM-B, Trauma 101, and pediatric building blocks are preferred.
