We have an exciting opportunity in our program for an experienced Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) within the Alberta Kidney Care - North (AKC-N) program. As a member of the multi-disciplinary team, the Licensed Practical Nurse is responsible for the assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of patient care. Decisions are made in collaboration with a multidisciplinary team. The LPN provides patient and family centered care to acute and chronic renal failure patient populations. The Licensed Practical Nurse will practice within the guidelines and philosophy of AKC-N. You will be encouraged and expected to work at your full scope of practice and to perform a variety of nursing duties in accordance with current policies and nursing care standards. You may have the opportunity to work in other city and rural satellite dialysis units within AKC-N. Please note, candidates who are chosen for an interview will be contacted by email. Until the Hemodialysis Unit at the Edmonton General Continuing Care Centre becomes fully operational, you will temporarily work at the Gene Zwozdesky Centre at Norwood. Once the unit is fully operational, you will work out of the Edmonton General Continuing Care Centre. This position has 3 available openings.
