Sturgeon Public Schools is currently seeking a Full-Time Temporary Educational Assistant 4 Licensed Practical Nurse for a work assignment at Redwater









Located in the Town of Redwater, the school serves approximately 300 students in Grades 5-12 with a dedicated staff of 25. Redwater School fosters a well-rounded approach to education, emphasizing arts, academics, athletics, entrepreneurship, and citizenship. What You'll Be Doing

Under the direction of the classroom teacher, the Educational Assistant 4 will:


Provide medical and personal care support for students in Grades 5-12 Support in the delivery and monitoring of food, and support in toileting Support students with complex medical needs, including Type 1 Diabetes Develop and implement individualised health and personal care plans Deliver health assessments, interventions, and ongoing re-evaluations Provide case management for students with chronic health conditions during the school day Collaborate with families, healthcare providers, and school staff Maintain accurate documentation and confidentiality of student health information
What You Bring


Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) designation with the College of Licensed Practical Nurses of Alberta (CLPNA) Experience supporting students with complex medical needs in a school or pediatric setting Experience supporting students with Type 1 Diabetes Experience developing personal care and health plans Strong observation, assessment, and communication skills High standards of professionalism, discretion, and student-centred care Equivalencies combining education, training, and experience may be considered Clear Criminal Record with Vulnerable Sector check
