Your Opportunity:U33 is the Neurology and Medicine unit at Red Deer Regional Hospital Centre. We are an acute care inpatient unit that houses the Central Zone Neurologist and Red Deer Stroke Programs, functioning as the zone\'s primary care centre for stroke and neurology patients. You will receive specialized and advanced training in these populations as well as valuable experience in a wide range of internal medicine and hospitalist level patients, helping you develop an exceptional range of nursing skills. The unit uses Collaborative Care where teams of RNs, LPNs, and HCAs work together to their full scopes alongside a vast interdisciplinary team. This allows staff to grow and support each other every day. Extensive educational opportunities are provided as the unit strives to provide stroke unit care at the same levels as Edmonton and Calgary. Mentorship, leadership, quality improvement, and professional development pathways are always available so that nurses can work towards their unique career goals.
