Your Opportunity:There is an exciting opportunity to join our Psychiatric Emergency Services (PES)! We are looking to add experienced LPN professionals to support those who present with addiction and mental health concerns at Red Deer Regional Hospital. The ideal candidate will have a passion for working collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team to support our vulnerable clients and their families through the path of care continuum. They will be responsible for bedside care to our patients, liaising with the families and medical team, and being a part of the overall emergency department team. You understand the complex relationships between physical, emotional, mental, developmental, and spiritual health. You will be patient centered and family centered in your care practices, following AHS Values and Policies. As an LPN, you will provide mentorship and leadership within the team environment based on your scope of practice and skill set. An ability to create strong relationships with the youth, families, and our team are a critical asset to this position. You have strong assessment skills, ability to use critical thinking, conflict resolution, flexibility, and ability to work in a high paced and acute environment. Multisite indicates the possibility of orientation and floating to the other psychiatric units in the hospital - both adult and childrens. This position has been identified and is anticipated to transition to Recovery Alberta effective September 1, 2024.
