Your Opportunity:

Unit 21 is a 36 bed, Surgical Orthopedic/Urology unit. Our team is looking for a self-motivated individual with a positive attitude, flexibility, and demonstrated organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills. The successful candidate will proactively take responsibility for maintaining competence through professional development activities. This individual will also: Have a strong interest in patients requiring Orthopedic, Urologic, Surgical Nursing Care, and can work effectively within a multi-disciplinary team, to provide family focused Nursing care. Demonstrate flexibility with assignments, ability to critically think, and anticipate challenges initiating effective solutions.

Description:

As a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN), you are part of an interprofessional health care team utilizing nursing processes, critical thinking, problem solving and decision making skills. You will be guided by your education, experience, demonstrated skill level and AHS policies and procedures. You will play a key role in providing safe, quality patient and family centered care while reflecting the shared vision and values of AHS.

Required Qualifications:

Completion of an accredited practical nurse education program. Active or eligible for registration and practice permit with the College of Licensed Practical Nurses of Alberta (CLPNA). Current Basic Cardiac Life Support - Health Care Provider (BCLS-HCP). Additional Required Qualifications:

Preference will be given to applicants with surgical experience within an Acute Care Setting.
