Come and be part of an evolving multidiscipline team building on the foundation of the Inflammatory Bowel Disease and Liver programs at the Red Deer Regional Hospital Centre. The LPN will work collaboratively to support patients living with inflammatory bowel disease and chronic liver disease as an active part of the multidisciplinary team. One of the main roles of this position will be to complete and document fibro scan results to assess individuals liver stiffness and blood flow; training will be supported. This position will be based out of Red Deer Regional Hospital Centre. Hours of work are fulltime and may vary with clinical operations. The LPN will collaborate within a multidisciplinary team including: medicine, nursing, psychology and pharmacy. They will provide direct patient care by assessing patients as they arrive to clinic. Actively participates in program development. Consistently exercises best practices. Accepts responsibility for continuing education and competencies through ongoing professional development and quality activities.

As a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN), you are part of an interprofessional health care team utilizing nursing processes, critical thinking, problem solving and decision making skills. You will be guided by your education, experience, demonstrated skill level and AHS policies and procedures. You will play a key role in providing safe, quality patient and family centered care while reflecting the shared vision and values of AHS. PLEASE NOTE: In accordance with Article 14.01 in the AHS/AUPE Auxiliary Nursing Care Collective Agreement, Licensed Practical Nurses shall be paid $27.04/hour - $35.42/hour ($27.58/hour \xc2\xbf $36.13/hour effective April 1, 2023).
