Your Opportunity:Reporting to a Unit Manager you will apply your knowledge, skills and judgment in the assessment of patient needs and provision of patient care to your full scope of practice, as defined by the College of Licensed Practical Nurses of Alberta (CLPNA) and Halvar Jonson Centre for Brain Injury. Collaborating as part of the interdisciplinary team, your responsibilities will include assessing and documenting patient needs, participating in the formulation of a nursing diagnosis and treatment care plan, implementing treatment plans and interventions and assisting with activities of daily living. In addition, you will promote and maintain a professional work environment, attend in-services and clinical competency programs, take part in quality management activities, and perform other related duties as required. The Halvar Jonson Centre for Brain Injury is a 48 bed facility that provides care for patients with acquired brain injury through an interdisciplinary approach. The Program is a progressive and expanding service with a commitment to professional development and excellence. This position has been identified and is anticipated to transition to Recovery Alberta effective September 1, 2024.
