Education

College, CEGEP or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1 year to 2 years or equivalent experience Must have or eligible to obtain LPN license in British Columbia, Canada

Experience

1 to less than 7 months

On site

Work must be completed at the physical location. There is no option to work remotely.

ResponsibilitiesTasks

Administer medications Conduct specimen collection Ensure infection control Observe and record medication's therapeutic and side effects Record medication's therapeutic and side effects observations in patient files Take vital signs Provide pre-operative and post-operative personal and comfort care Monitor established respiratory therapy and intravenous therapy Provide safety and health education to individuals and their families Provide nursing services, within defined scope of practice, to patients based on patient assessment and care planning procedures Monitor patients' progress, evaluate effectiveness of nursing interventions and consult with appropriate members of healthcare team

CredentialsCertificates, licences, memberships, and courses

Eligible for licensure as a practical nurse by the province/territory of work Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) Certificate

Pay: $32.84-$46.40 per hour
