Independent Living Housing Society of Greater Victoria (ILHS)

is seeking a full-time Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN). As a full-time LPN Manager, you will:



Manage a licensed staffed community home and a team of care workers, ensuring high standards of care.

Develop and implement individualized care plans, ensuring that care needs are met in daily practice.

Collaborate with medical professionals and advocate for the health needs of the people that live in the home.

Conduct nursing assessment as required for Individuals supported throughout ILHS.

Lead orientation and training for new employees, fostering a culture of learning and support.

Facilitate ongoing training for front-line employees.

Qualifications:



Active registration with BC College of Nursing and Midwives as a practicing LPN.

Demonstrated knowledge and abilities to work a full scope of practice including administering medications.

Three (3) to five (5) years nursing and leadership experience, or an equivalent education and training.

Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work independently and lead with empathy. Ability to promote person-focused care that demonstrates care for and with the people supported, sensitive to diverse cultures and preferences, advocacy and social justice concerns.
You will require a valid BC Driver's License and access to a vehicle with business class insurance during working hours. Class 4 Driver's License is an asset.
