4-on, 2-off schedule (0700h-1500h)

4-on, 2-off schedule (1500h-2300h)

Are you an RN Student?

Students enrolled in an RN program who have completed their 2nd year and hold a Student Nurse Certification from BCCNM are encouraged to apply!

Your Role as an LPN:

As a key member of our care team, you will be responsible for the overall well-being of our residents. Your day-to-day work will include:

Performing resident assessments, developing care plans, and providing hands-on nursing care. Leading and supervising our care staff, acting as a mentor and resource. Administering medications safely and participating in medication reviews. Communicating with residents, families, and physicians to manage and prevent conflicts or concerns. Completing documentation, incident reports, and monitoring Rai 2.0 assessments. Assisting with the resident admission process to ensure a smooth transition. Championing resident safety and ensuring all OH&S policies are followed.

What You Need to Succeed (Must-Haves):

Certification:

You must be a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) registered and in good standing with the British Columbia College of Nurses and Midwives (BCCNM).

Student Nurses:

RN Students with BCCNM Student Nurse Certification (after Year 2) are welcome.

Clearance:

A satisfactory and current Criminal Records Check.

Skills:

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. You must be resourceful, organized, and able to work with a minimum of supervision.

Our Ideal Candidate (Nice-to-Haves):

Previous experience in long-term care or geriatrics. First Aid and CPR certifications. Experience with MDS, Point Click Care, or Gold Care.

Physical Requirements:

This role involves frequent standing, walking, and lifting. You must be able to lift and/or transfer residents and handle stressful situations in a fast-paced environment.
