Position Overview

We are currently hiring

Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs)

for a leading healthcare facility in

Red Deer, AB

. This role is ideal for a dedicated and adaptable clinician who thrives in dynamic environments, such as emergency departments, long-term care, or supportive living settings. If you bring professionalism, empathy, and a passion for delivering high-quality care, we'd love to work with you.

As a GHHS nurse, you'll receive full support from our Talent Acquisition team from onboarding through placement to ensure a smooth and fulfilling experience.

Key Responsibilities

Deliver safe, ethical, and competent nursing care in accordance with CLPNA standards Monitor and evaluate patients' conditions, updating care plans as required Administer medications and treatments as prescribed Collaborate with physicians, RNs, and other healthcare team members Support residents and their families with compassion, respect, and clarity Accurately document patient care and maintain confidential records Adapt to fast-paced environments and changing priorities with professionalism

Requirements

Minimum 9 months of recent LPN experience in long-term care or retirement home Registered and in good standing with the College of Licensed Practical Nurses of Alberta (CLPNA) Diploma in Practical Nursing from an accredited institution Recent Vulnerable Sector Check (completed within the last 12 months) Completed 2-Step TB Test (within the past 6 months) and/or Chest X-ray (within the past year) Up-to-date immunizations (including MMR, Tdap, etc.) Proof of 2 or 3 doses of COVID-19 vaccination
